Suspended Magnetic Separators aredesigned for applications whereferrous contaminants are to beremoved from bulk products,either on a moving conveyorbelt or chute.

The CP 20/80 utilizes apermanent magnet circuit toprovide a continuous anduniform magnetic field acrossthe feed belt to optimize separationefficiency of damaging tramp iron. Theself cleaning feature supplied with theunit provides for automatic removal ofaccumulated tramp metal.

TYPICAL OPERATIONThe magnet is placed across theconveyor belt. A moving continuousbelt surrounds the magnet box.Ferrous material is attracted by themagnet and is held on the belt. As thebelt moves clear of the magnetic field,ferrous metals fall away into bins forcollection and disposal.

The CP 20/80 SC–2 is designed for amaximum suspension height ofapproximately 10 inches (250 mm) onbelts less than 36 inches (1 m) wide.Applications involving wider belts orhigher suspension may require a largersuspended permanent magnet or anSE7000 electromagnet.
