Knowledge Alliances are calls for large-scale collaboration projects between higher education and business

Focus is on:

entrepreneurship mindset and skills

Boosting innovation in higher education, business and the broader socio-economic environment

jointly developed/performed educationand training activities

2 or 3 year projects, min. 6 organisations

Max. EU-contribution for 2-year project = 700 000 EUR

Max. EU-contribution for 3-year project =

STEM PhD students/graduates across Europe

AIM

SCIENT will develop an innovative entrepreneurship programme for PhD STEM

(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) students/graduates, developing

their transversal skills and providing a new professional path.

Main OBJECTIVES

• Develop the entrepreneurial mindset of STEM PhD Students

• Develop transversal skills (both hard & soft) for STEM PhD students/graduates

• Create new professional paths for these people

• Identify the obstacles that PhD students/graduates face in transferring their research

findings into business ideas.

• Close the existing gap on the training content and methodology provided by current

entrepreneurship programmes for this specific target group.
