This maquette is a 3-dimensional model of a guest room. The goal of our design was to select fabrics and fi nishes that were sustainable. Many of our selections were local products made from environmentally friendly materials. We were also challenged to design the wallpaper and carpeting for this guest room.

  • Community Garden Rendering

Each residential building will contain a green roof system on either end to rain water and help keep a more ecient roof temperature.

Every building will be connected to a grey water system that will collect the water be to used as irrigation for the on site gardens.

The curtain wall system with wood (TMT) panels provide a simple and cost eective way to add additional space to the exciting structure

During the design process of the building, we kept LEED points in mind and strived to keep waste to a minimum. We opted to remove the existing roof and replace it with a shed roof in order to collect the greatest possible amount of rain water for our gray water system. Our design maintains the original footprints of the buildings and adds a secondary material to break up the building and distinctly dene the boundaries of each town home. The external material for the additions is called Thermally Modied Timber (TMT) panels which are more suitable under Mississippis humid weather conditions.
