NEw ACTIVATIoNNew activation of service may require up to 3 full business days to complete. Because Epic’s service uses Fiber to the Premise technology, the services are activated remotely. Unless premise wiring correction or addition is requested, a technician will not need access to your home or business. If premise wiring support is required, expect 3 full business days for activation. Additional charges would apply for premise wiring support.Activation may be delayed several days if the premise has not had services before, electrical service is not at the premise or if the Epic Touch’s service connection at the premise has been damaged.While waiting on activation you may want to locate the service jacks within your home for the different services. If you need assistance with identifying the jack for a particular service, please see the section on jack identification on page 200 in the blue pages.Also, you may want to locate the battery backup unit that is in your house. A working unit will be lit with green lights on the left and middle indicators. If you have an indicator light that has no green lights or has a red light lit then contact our office.Pleasenotifyusifyoudiscoveraproblemwithyourwiring,otherdifficulties or if activation has not occurred after 3 full business days . CABLE TV SERVICEOnce Epic Touch has supplied TV Cable service to your home, you will need to connect your cable outlet inside your home to your TV. You may discover your wall jack was wired to satellite instead of Epic Touch cable prior, you may want to test each outlet with a small TV to see if the jack is or is not working. Contact a CSR if you have need of in home wiring support service.Use cable mode (CATV) to receive more than the first 13 channels on your TV by using the on-screen set-up menu. And use your TV set-up menu to discover all possible channels.If you have one or more TV receiver boxes, and if you need assistance installing a receiver, please contact us at 697-2111 and a CSR will provide options for additional support.

FIBER To THE HomE ANd ELECTRICITyEpic Touch Co. services are delivered to your home or business through fiber optic cable. This delivery method requires a battery backup unit in the home, which is provided by Epic Touch. When electric power is lost at your home, the battery backup unit will provide electric power for phone service for up to 4 hours of talk time and 8 hours of standby time.If the battery backup unit is disconnected from the electrical outlet or loses electricity, cable TV service and Internet service may disconnect automatically to reserve the battery for your phone service.
Services cannot be activated at a location that does not have electrical service.

If support is needed for known customer premises issues such as wiring, jack location, equipment setup, etc., then you can request support through Epic Touch at 697-2111, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A fee will be charged for customer premise issues. The Epic Touch store has many options for self-help and self-install.If you experience a problem with your service, call 697-2111. During business hours, a Customer Service Representative (CSR) will request information about the problem and provide possible solutions. If a technician is required, the CSR will create a trouble ticket. A technician will call you within 24 hours to assist with the trouble.During non-business hours, leave a support message on voice mail at 697-2111. If immediate service is requested, a technician will call you and assist in determining the cause of the problem and the support options with related costs, if any, you would incur.

Plug a patch cable into the Ethernet service jack.4. Plug other end of the patch cable into your router (WAN or Internet port) or computer.

Subscriber can disable call waiting for an individual call so that important calls are not interrupted.Dial *70 before or during the call for which Call Waiting is being cancelled.Announces to caller the number they called cannot be accepted. The call is then forwarded to voicemail, if available.
HomE INTERComAllows subscriber with multiple customer premise extensions on their phone line to call other extensions and transfer an incoming call between extensions. Subscriber might use this service if they want to contact an extension in an out building some distance from home.A customer dials his own number and hears ringback. The customer should hang up the phone; it will start ringing their line. When the ringing stops, the extension has picked up the call, the receiving caller hears ringback letting them know it is an intercom call.
wARm LINESubscriber’s line can be configured with a number that is dialed automatically when the phone has been off the hook for a configured amount of time.Epic Touch Switch Tech sets up this feature. When the subscriber’s phone is off the hook for a specified number of seconds (set by the Switch Tech), the configured number the subscriber selected will ring. When that person answers, it is automatically connected to the subscriber’s warm line number.
dISTINCTIVE RINGAllows subscriber to have up to 3 additional directory numbers while retaining only one physical line. Calls going through the existing phone line have a distinctive ring tone for each number.Switch Tech sets this feature.
CoNFERENCE CALLINGAllows multiple users in different locations to meet via a single phone line.Switch Tech sets this feature.

Subscribers select a list of numbers from which incoming calls will ring with a distinctive tone.Dial *61 - follow the prompts.To deactivate - dial *81 and listen for confirmation tones and follow theprompts.
VoICEmAILRedirects unanswered or busy call to our Epic Touch voicemail server. The calling party may leave a message. The subscriber dials an access code to retrieve the messages. When installing this option, please select the number of rings before voicemail picks up.Dial *83 - follow the prompts.
