Mrs. Stolfus, our school counse-
lor, has been leading Character
Education Assemblies all week,
for grades 2-5, during which she
introduced herself and ex-
plained her role at EP Rayzor.
All students and teachers have
been trained about our Bully
Buster Program, using a moving
wax museum skit to make sure students and staff understand
what true bullying is and how to
handle it. She has reviewed the
3 Rs … Do what is Right, Be
Respectful and Be Responsi-
ble and the Promise – Good
Character will lead to a hap-
pier, healthier and a more
successful life. Each grade level
was able to gaze upon the
“golden R” out of the case,
recite all of the cheers and re-
viewed what makes a Leader of
the Pack. Mrs. Stolfus finished
up each assembly with a skit
about reaching our goals and
having GRIT. Obstacles can get
in the way during this process
and we have to have a positive
attitude and never give up. Stu-
dents then caged Stinkin’-
Thinkin’ for the year.
These traditions, through our
Character Education program,
have been a big part of E.P.
Rayzor for years and bring with
them powerful messages. Ask
your children about the experi-
ence!

For those of you new
to Destination Imagi-
nation, it is an educa-
tional challenge pro-
gram wherein students
(K-12th) come together
in teams of two to sev-
en members to find cre-
ative solutions to com-
plex challenges that
blend STEM education
with arts and social en-
trepreneurship. Teams
compete and present
their out of the box so-
lutions at regional tour-
nament. Top teams
have the opportunity to
advance to state and
global tournaments.
This is the first year our
district will be hosting
the regional tourna-
ment on Sat, Feb 25th,
2017 at Guyer High
School! Currently, we do not
have any teams at EP
Rayzor. If you are in-
terested in learning
