The peak of roughness profile was near the center line, that is, the latewood did not protrude the

earlywood on the machining surface of surface planer.

The surface structure of wood was crushed or torn after planning. The damage surface could removed by the

two-step oblique cutting

The planning surface processed by oblique cut once more could remove the deformation layer of surface to

show the wood structure clearly
