How to foster Enterprise App adoption?

• Identify the key business need and business case.• Specify the apps' requirements, target platforms, product roadmap.• Acquire / develop, test and iterate app.• Integrate with backend data.• Secure and authenticate users, apps, and devices.• Deploy, distribute, promote, provision, fulfill, and track.• Support, help, listen, improve and simplify.

Developing the protocols, purchasing the hardware and software, and managing fleets of devices is a strain.

Though these systems are focused on managing apps than devices, IT can enforce some policies.

Corporate data and personal data are stored and secured separately.

If a device is lost or stolen, IT managers can remotely wipe corporate data.

The corporate app store and its apps can be remotely removed, when an employee leaves a company.

These stores provide apps for employees to do their jobs and conform to security policies.

Enterprise app stores are light and require smaller footprint on devices, compared to MDM solutions.
