General information about the event The quiz rally is by no means determined by speed. The aim of the rally is to gain as many points as possible. Generally, it is not the team whose individual members “know the most” that win, but the team which works together towards a common target, cooperatively and efficiently (just as in real life). Clothing and Equipment Comfortable sporty clothing and good solid shoes are recommended. Important items to remember are: Rain clothes, writing instruments and a mobile phone. Time Limits There is a time limit for each stage. That is to say, that a time is stated, by when the stage must be completed at latest. If required, then the Clue Envelope or even the Emergency Envelope should be opened straightaway (see also below). Stages There are three stages. Description of the stages The individual finishing points of each stage are not given in simple text, but are „cryptically“ described. At latest 20 minutes prior to the deadline, the team should know "where should we be going". Clue Envelope and Emergency Envelope If the finishing point for the stage has not been worked out, then the Clue Envelope should be opened, which contains more precise information about the finishing point. If the envelope is opened, then 10 points are deducted. If this is not enough to help the team, then the Emergency Envelope must also be opened, in which the finishing point for the stage is contained in plain text. If the envelope is opened, then 10 points are deducted. If the Emergency Envelope is opened, then the Clue Envelope is also deemed to have been opened. The driver has been instructed not to give out any hints, so please be understanding this is the case. Questions During each stage, there are questions of a general nature, questions about the specialist subject "Wine“, as well as questions about the finishing point to be answered. There are 5 points for each correct answer. The answers should be written legibly on the answer sheet. Don’t forget to bring with you… For each stage there is a item that you have to find and bring. The required items are also pretty “cryptically” described.

Tests of skillIn each stage there are tests of skill of a mainly funny nature, which are not, however, anyparticularly significant sporting challenge.

Rules when arriving at the finishing point of the stageTo ensure an orderly and fair contest, we request that teams are well disciplined. The teamleader should only go to the Organising Team when all the necessary items have been collectedtogether. For each stage, that means:

• the legibly completely answer form• the item which you have been asked for• the Clue Envelope (even if opened)• the Emergency Envelope (even if opened)

Once these items have been handed in, then the envelope for the next stage will be handedover.

PointsIt is possible to score the following points:

• for each correctly answered question 5 points• unopened Clue Envelope 10 points• unopened Emergency Envelope 10 points• Challenges 15 points for the winning team going down for each team• Don’t forget to bring with you… 5 or 10 points (depending on how difficult the item is to acquire)

Identifying the Organising TeamYou will recognise the members of the organising team by their T Shirts bearing the followinglogo:
