English Yearly Overview: Waterfoot Primary School

At Waterfoot Primary we plan and differentiate our English to support all abilities and backgrounds in our school. We ensure that our lessons are informative and that children have gained the key knowledge, skills and concepts to be able to progress to the next steps of their learning. We also ensure that learning is enjoyable, exciting and links with our whole school ‘Connected Curriculum’ where possible. We plan carefully using the Lancashire documents Key learning in Reading and Writing. In addition we also follow the Supporting Spelling and Supporting Grammar documents.
