A. DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

Kuta Beach Kuta Beach is a tourist place located south of Denpasar, capital of Bali, Indonesia. Kuta is located in Badung. This area is a tourist destination abroad, and has become a mainstay tourist island of Bali since the early 70's. Kuta Beach is often referred to as sunset beach (sunset beach) as opposed to the Sanur beach. Before becoming an attraction, Kuta is a port trade. Ginger

Ginger (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) is a medicinal plant belonging to the tribe-

RABBIT

Rabbits are mammals of the family Leporidae, which can be found in many parts

of the earth. Formerly, these animals are wild animals that live in Africa up to Europe. In

development, 1912, rabbits are classified in the order Lagomorpha. The Order is divided

into two families, namely Ochtonidae (kind of a clever pika whistling) and Leporidae

(including the type of rabbit and hare). Origin of the word comes from the Dutch rabbit,

which konijntje which means "rabbit". This indicates that the archipelago beginning to

recognize the rabbit as the colonial period, while on the island of Sumatra, there is a

native species of the Sumatran rabbit (Nesolagus netscheri) were identified in 1972.

In general, rabbits are divided into two types. First, the rabbit-free. Second, the pet

rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus).

bronze. His tail is orange with a black tip. Heavy java adult rabbit can reach 4 kg. While

the Sumatran Rabbit, is the only race of rabbit native to Indonesia. Habitat is forests in

mountainous island of Sumatra. Body length up to 40 cm. Yellowish gray-brown fur

C. NARRATIVE TEXT

Pinocchio

One day, Gepetto, an old woodsman, who lived in the pine forests of Italy, he felt

lonely. He always dreamed about having a son.

Every day, he went to cut wood for the city. One day, the idea of illuminating his

mind, the idea of crafting dolls, which he called Pinocchio. He made the doll and at night,

the doll comes alive!

A year later, on Sunday morning, Gepetto told Pinocchio:

'' It's my birthday, my son, my son! I hope you do not forget it!''

'' Ew, of course, I will not forget it!''

Pinocchio felt awkward. He did not think about it. Gepetto's birthday is coming in

three days, and he did not even have a gift.

After a long night of reflecting, Pinocchio finally decided to offer a homemade

chocolate cake to him as a gift.

When the sun rose, Pinocchio was ready to go out looking for the material. The

main problem is not even known he was in and the recipe.

So after school, he decided to go ask someone about the ingredients and to make

the cake. During his journey, Pinocchio, the wooden puppet, met the town witch.

'' Hey, little boy, do you need help to make a chocolate cake?''

'' Hum ... Can you help me?'', Tanya Pinocchio.

'' Sure, I can. Follow me!''

After walking a few minutes, Pinocchio saw a huge candy house. They entered

together and Pinocchio are captured by a large cage.

'' Mouahahaha! Finally I got you! You will be mine, you will work for me!'', Said a

wicked witch.

Pinocchio was so scared. When the guards came and took him out of the cage, he

ran very fast, and he managed to escape.

At the same time, the wicked witch, summoning all the troops with him, ran after

Pinocchio and magicians took out his wand. Evil devil changed the little wooden puppet

into a chocolate cake!

When he returned home, he told the whole story to his father, and they went

looking for a fairy god.

After a long journey, they finally found the fairy god and they got a magic potion

for Pinocchio.

The Legend of Toba Lake

Once upon time, there was a handsome man. His name was Batara Guru Sahala.

He liked fishing. One day, he caught a fish. He was surprised to find out that the fish

could talk. The fish begged him to set it free.


Batara Guru could not bear it. He made the fish free. As soon as it was free, the

fish changed into a very beautiful woman. She attracted Batara Guru so much. He felt in

love with that fish-woman. The woman wanted to marry with him and said that Batara

Guru had to keep the secret which she had been a fish. Batara Guru aggreed and

promised that he would never tell anybody about it.

They were married happily. They had two daughters. One day Batara Guru got

very angry with his daughter. He could not control his mad. He shouted angrily and got

the word of fish to his daugters. The daughters were crying. They found their mother

and talked her about it.

The mother was very annoyed. Batara Guru broke his promise. The mother was

shouting angrily. Then the earth began to shake. Volcanoes started to erupt. The earth

formed a very big hole. People believed that the big hole became a lake. Then this lake is

known as Toba lake.


D. RECOUNT TEXT

Tracy's Experience

On the way to the bus stop yesterday, Tracy slipped on wet leaves and hurt her

foot. Some people helped her stand up. Then, she went home. Her mother was surprised

at that time. And then her mother took her to the hospital.

In the hospital, her mother parked the car in NO PARKING area and then she

helped her daughter walk to the doctor. It wasn’t a serious accident, but it was very

expensive. The X-ray, ice treatment, and bandage cost $320.

After that Tracy and her mother went back to their car. There was a traffic police

officer near their car. He gave her a ticket. The fine was $80. Then, on the way home,

Tracy’s mother hit a telephone pole. It cost $500 to fix it. Finally they went home and

they were very tired.

Julius Caesar

Born in 100 BC, a member of an important Roman family, Julius Caesar was one

of the greatest men who ever lived. He was outstanding as a statesman, a general, an

orator, a historian, a law-maker, a ruler … and, as even his enemies said, a

From his youth he held public office, and in 60 BC he became one of the three

equal heads of government. For ten years he commanded the Roman armies in Gaul,

conquering large parts of Britain and Germany. He then returned to Italy and, by

crossing the River Rubicon, began a civil war in which he was victorious. He became the

master of the Roman Empire and was largely responsible for the shape of today’s

Europe. He was assassinated in 44 BC but even 2,000 years later, rulers were still using

his name: Kaiser, Tsar or Czar, Shah, all was ‘Caesars’.


E. PROCEDURE TEXT

How to Make a Manggo Juice

Materials

1. a piece of mango

2. a half glass of water

3. a glass of ice pack

4. a spoon of sugar

Procedures

1. First, peel the mango and clean it

2. Next, cut the mango into pieces and put them into the juicer

3. Then, put the water, ice and sugar

4. After that turn on the juice and wait about 15 seconds

5. Finally, pour the mango juice into the glass and ready to drink

How to Make Parachute

Ingredients:

1. 1 piece of white plastic bags

3. rope

How It Works:

I send you this e-mail to let you that I’m enjoying a great vacation in Raja

Ampat, Papua. This place is reallly amazing.

I arrived here two days ago. I’m staying in my friend’s house that faces

the sea. I do enjoy the beauty of the sunrise and the sunset. I’ve attached a few

You know, I enjoyed the most delicious seafood that I had ever tasted an

hour ago. Nothing was comparable to it.

I went diving in Raja Ampat this morning. I saw beautiful fish annd coral

reefs. They were amazing. I’ll go diving again tomorrow morning.
