Reflective IntroductionImages say a thousand words. Not to sound clich, but theydo. Rather than writing a thousand words, use a image todescribe a deeper meaning. This project helped to me to

analyze a photo, piece of art, or meme on a deeper level andunderstanding each inch of it to the bone. Using an imageinstead of a piece of written work can be more useful in

many ways. Instead of rambling an idea in your head, usean image to express it. An image really can express athousand words, weather its just two rings to represent

marriage or plethora of random letter that spell one wordout. Instead of written text, take a look at a photograph.

What does one see? A meaning.

Personally, I would prefer to see a picture that gives me anexplanation of religion, events, and relationships. When itcomes to these topics, its easier seen than read. To me, I

would prefer to see a Buddhist monk in action, a photo of amother and daughter, or simply a picture of a tragic event.Images come with an emotional appeal, something that ones

eyes can see or experience, as if they were there.

TraceText: This text is simply about religion. Itit a piece of art spray painted on abuilding (graffiti). When one thinks aboutgraffiti they would think of a troubledartistic soul that wants to let someth ingout. Thats what this is. We sho uld allcoexist within religions.Reader: Anyone can be the intendedaudience for this piece of art. The painterof this painting and I share commonalities.Being agnostic I respect all religions andbelieve that no matter what, we are humansand should coexist as one on earth. Forme, there is no change. The coexistsymbol/message has always been somethingI look up to or follow. It is a part of methat I will always keep.Author: The author is unknown of thepainting.Constraints: Because ou r author of thispainting is unknown Im not sure what mayhave influence him/her other than religiousconflicts.Exigence: The main cause of this argumentmay be the fact that religion s around theworld seek to see the d ifferences ratherthan what they have in common.

Title: Global Religious PowerSub Genre: PhotographMode: ExpressiveWhy?: I claimed this as being expressive because ofthe meaning itWhy? This is a Hindu Pundit; although Im agnostic,I have a father who is Hindu. This photographshows power to me because of the impact of thetikka (Indian dot) and the meaning it has behind

    it.

Title: Religious BandwagonSub Genre: Photograph/ MemeMode: Persuasive/ ExpressiveWhy?: I believe this is persuasive because of what thecaption says: If you dont control your mind, someoneelse will. This is very persuasive towards Christianitybecause of what the girl is doing.

TraceText: Memory of the Sandy Hooks shooting, itwas originally published to impact the viewer. It was recently taken because the shootingtook place before Christmas of 2012.Reader: Anyone can be the audience of thisphotograph. The ones who would be mostlyimpacted by this would be loved ones of SandyHook victims ot people of the town where ithappened. Like the author, this was somethingthat was mourned over. The situation wasterrible and involved young, innocentchildren. There is no change that is apparentin the photo but there is a message. One that

says there is evil in this world, one that willhave an effect on the mind, but also the heart.Author: Mike Segar is the photographer.Although there is no specific reason he tookthis photograph his point was made about thesituation.
