■ Comparative adjectives are used to compare differences between two things. ■ When you are comparing things, than is placed after the comparative adjective.
The construction is as follows:
Noun (subject) + verb + comparative adjective + than + noun (object)
For example:■ My cat is cuter than yours.■ George is taller than Sally.

For short words, we add –er to mean more.

• This is normally when the adjective has three or more syllables.
