Irregular Comparative Adjectives Answer Key

Comparative and superlative adjectives are used to compare two or more things. Most

adjectives become comparative and superlative adjectives by adding –er or –est to the

end of the word. For example, large becomes larger and largest. However, some

adjectives do not follow those rules. Practice using the following irregular comparative

and superlative adjectives in a sentence.

My sister is a better saxophone player than your brother .

2. (worst)

My dog is the worst listener in the world.

3. (farther)

Jen’s house is farther from nine than I thought.

4. (more)

There are more kids at my new school than there were at my last school.
