Biography Born September 20th, 1984, James Ray Taylor has always been a source of joy to his parents Bishop James A. Taylor, Sr. and Lucy A. Clark. From the time he has been able to talk, Pastor Taylor’s love for God and His word has been evident. There have been many accounts from family and loved ones of Pastor Taylor holding worship services in their homes, where he would preach and sing as early as four years old.

At the age of 9, James preached his trial message to a waiting congregation of more then 300 people. This would be an unthinkable task for the average 9 year old. However, after preaching a clear and concise message that lead to the conversion of “9” people, all would soon realize that there was nothing average about this young vessel. Soon after his trial sermon, on June 12th, 1994, Pastor Taylor received his ministry license from his spiritual father, mentor and friend, the late Dr. Joseph Lee, Jr. and in January 2001, Dr. Lee seen fit to ordain his son and appoint him as the youth pastor of the church. 21 months later, after 50 years of pastoral ministry, Pastor Joseph Lee, Jr., retired and passed the pastoral mantel off to James Ray Taylor.

Now entering his tenth year as Lead Pastor of the Heavenly Vision Church, The Holy Spirit has used this vessel to revolutionize the ministry with the anointing of God, and the Gospel of Christ. Pastor Taylor has ministered across this country, at various ministries, but with only one ambition at heart, to build and edify God’s Kingdom.

James has earned his Bachelors degree in Theology, Masters of Religious Education and has the honor of being a senior fellow of the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California.

Pastor Taylor obtained God’s favor through his lovely wife, Karen and they have the privilege rearing their sons James Kione, James Joseph-Mark, nephew Korey and their little Princess Katelyn Sha.

His personal motto is simply “I can, I shall, I will, and it is so!”.

All that has been stated of Pastor Taylor can be summed up into one statement, “He is a humble servant of the Mighty God.

Booking Information

HONORARIUM James Ray Taylor does not set an honorarium amount for speaking but we ask that you thoughtfully consider his level of excellence in service and prepare a monetary presentation that would reflect such. All checks are to be made payable to James Ray Taylor and presented to James before his departure. For any amount that exceeds six hundred US dollars, James is more than willing to fill out a W9 on behalf of your organization. Any 1099s prepared on behalf of James should be submitted to the P. O. Box address given in this packet.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTSFor events taking place outside of southern California, two base fair airplane tickets are to be secured in the names of James R. Taylor and Karen D. Taylor. In the event that Karen cannot accompany James only one ticket needs to be secured. James prefers to travel Virgin America, but any reportable airline with non-stop service to and from LAX airport will suffice.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS It is requested that one king/non-smoking room be reserved. James prefers the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, but any reportable hotel that serves at lest breakfast will suffice.

GOUND TRANSPORTATIONPlease secure transportation for James from the airport to the hotel. A driver is asked to take James from the hotel to the airport upon departure.

MEDIA We request permission to sell James’ media products. Please provide a table at the venue to set up product for sale during the time of speaking. At the conclusion of James’ services, we request that a quality CD/DVD recording be given to James for future media distribution.

HOW TO SUBMIT THE ENGAGEMENT FORMTo request James for your ministry event fill out the form below and submit it to the P. O. Box address given in this packet, along with an official request letter on your organization’s letterhead. After submitting the form and official letter please call 323.971.0875 to speak with a ministry representative in order to finalize your request. If a representative does not answer please leave a message and a representative will return your call within two business days. After you have spoken with a representative and your plans have been finalized an agreement will be emailed or postal mailed to you that must be signed by the leader/pastor/CEO of your organization and emailed or postal mailed back to the address listed above. After the agreement has been signed and received back into our office, your event will be on James’ master calendar. The unauthorized use of a picture for advertisement purposes before an agreement has been signed is prohibited. Requests will be booked based upon the arrival of the signed agreement, a legal binding document, and not the initial submission of the request form or official letter.
