SUMMARYEndeavor Human Resources, WordLink’s flagship product, is a scaleable suite of highly parameterized, integrated and real-time, business modules that allow organizations to comprehensively manage and streamline the major aspects of their human resources. Integration at parameter level between the various modules of Endeavor Human Resources enable seamless access to data through a standard interface module for a complete picture of every employee and unit in the organization. Endeavor HR is comprised of the following essential functionalities:

1. Personnel Information;

2. Post Management;

3. Payroll; and

4. Pensions & Gratuities.

System ArchitectureEndeavor is designed on an three-tier architecture existing as a server side application built on industrial strength Oracle Database Server. Using native Oracle functions, tightly integrated with Oracle Database Server, Endeavor is extremely fast and robust with powerful reporting capabilities. Real-time accounting and validation for all transactions with built in redundancy on a proven platform ensures an extremely high degree of reliability.

The module’s strength lies in its extensive capture and reporting capability, providing human resource and administrative managers with key information on their personnel, helping them make strategic and critical decisions.

PERSONNEL DETAIL TRACKING Personnel Information provides an easy solution to track down in depth details of every employee reducing errors while improving speed and performance. It effectively records and tracks the various components of an employee over their service period in the organization.

SERVICE HISTORYThe strength of many an organization lies in the ability to cultivate a dedicated and skilled workforce. In a situation where corporate movement is the rule of the day, it becomes very essential to track personnel service history. Personnel Information allows easy maintenance of a detailed and comprehensive service record and timeline for every employee, from appointment to retirement and further. It keeps track of all the events during an employee’s service including the following:

• Appointment • Transfer • Promotion • Service Change• Placement• Deputation

AWARDS/REWARDSIn the modern, forward-thinking organization of today, an employee’s performance plays an important part in enhancing their value towards the organization. Many organizations maintain a system of awards and rewards to effectively encourage its employees to perform better. These incentives not only reflect on the present performance but also are important factors for future appraisals and promotions. The Personnel Information system provides an effective way of recording and reviewing an employee’s achievements.

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONSAwards and Rewards being incentives for performance, organizations also follow a system of disciplinary actions for non-performance or any inappropriate behavior. The punishments received by an employee are a key element when it comes to determining future prospects. The Personnel Management system maintains an accurate record of all such disciplinary actions for non-performance or misdemeanor.

EDUCATION An employee’s academic background is generally a prime consideration during recruitment but forgotten thereafter. With the Personnel Management’s education record however, it becomes a regular reference, making strategic employment placement and deployment possible, based on an employee’s educational background and field of expertise, in conjunction with in-service training.

TRAINING Expenses on personnel training are regarded as an investment. Thus, the service record of an employee is often marked by a series of skill developing and enhancing exercises. The recording of all such exercises allows an organization to effectively monitor and evaluate the skill level of its employees at any given time and period.

POST MANAGEMENTPost Management System is a decision support system for planning designed to track the total sanctioned strength for each particular unit within the organization structure. The organization structure will be structured in hierarchical form that can give a clear picture of distribution of sanctioned post and position once all required information are entered into the system. The system is further integrated with Personnel Information System to track the information regarding the actual allocation of personnel against the number of existing positions. Whenever any personnel retire from his/her service, PMS also has the ability to show the vacant post for the particular office and service. As PMS provides the information of sanctioned and fulfilled positions, it can be used as powerful tool for budgeting and administration of personnel, planning for recruitment and development of human resources.

PAYROLLRemuneration or payroll being an important and essential element in any employer – employee relationship, Endeavor provides a robust and easy payroll solution in the form of the Payroll. Closely integrated with the Personnel Information, and incorporating all the essential elements of a modern payroll system that includes salary, allowances, deductions components as per their organization rules and regulations, Payroll reduces human functions to a minimum, ensuring accuracy and speed. The intuitive reports give current and up-to-date financial information on pay components while also providing forecasts for future planning.

HIGHLY PARAMETERIZED PAYROLL COMPONENTSEndeavor Payroll and its integration with the Personnel Information and Post Management through various parameters provides granular level control of all components of human resources that have an effect on organization payroll. It gives the ability to add, modify different payroll components that include:

• Basic Pay/Scale of Pay• Increments• Grades• Allowances• Loans and Advances• Insurance Schemes• Provident Fund• Perks and Benefits• Other additions and deductions• Taxes on each component

TAX PROCESSINGTax deductions form an integral component of any payroll system. The calculations are however complex and time consuming, that can lead to errors. Endeavor Payroll automates the process, taking into account the various allowances and deductions including, slab-based deductions as per government rules and regulations.

LOAN PROCESSING Employees during their term of service often avail need-based advances and loans that are generally adjusted and paid back from the monthly salary over a period of time. Payroll effectively records and monitors such loans and advances given to the employees including paybacks and monthly adjustments.

PAYROLL GENERATION Endeavor Payroll automates payroll generation considering important factors like attendance, allowances and deductions, eliminating errors, improving productivity and saving time. While maintaining accuracy, the system provides ample flexibility in payroll generation: For regular employees on a monthly basis or for contract or ad-hoc employees on specific criteria basis.

PENSION & GRATUITIESPension & Gratuities tracks the detail information regarding retired personnel. Whenever a personnel is retired from his/her service s/he is obliged to get the pension as per HR policies of his/her organization. Pension & Gratuities is designed to adopt the policies of any organization having a room of parameter to be set for the pension of different position working for different organization in different service levels. It can automatically calculate the amount of monthly pension that employees get after his retirement in a given date. It also tracks the information of nominees of personnel and the criteria of pension that the nominee can get after death of the retired personnel. The system provides detail information regarding pension holder, total amount paid per month / year, service wise pensioner, organizational unit wise pensioner, bank wise pensioner and so on.

REPORTS AND MISEndeavor HR has truly powerful and sophisticated reporting abilities. In addition to pre-set summary, MIS and regulatory reports, Endeavor HR provides functional analytical features that brings powerful search capabilities with the ease of the Internet search engines. These features called browsers are a unique feature that allows the versatility of modern RDBMS based systems to bring out the maximum productivity and utility of the user. The added benefit of these browsers is that the search results can be saved and produced as reports instantly. In addition these results can be exported into a variety of file formats.
