Can you imagine how different your life would be if electricity were never discovered? A total major adjustment would occur.
Now imagine if there were no Resurrection byChrist? You say, so what? We still could manage.Yes, we could, but with very little hope.
Christ’s Resurrection validated who He was.His teachings were great and His miracles were impres-sive. But to rise from the grave, that is off the scale of importance. Why? Can you imagine not ever seeingthose you love again? (O.k., maybe there are some peo-
ple you wish to forget.) When we die, we are not anni-hilated nor are we reabsorbed into the great “cosmicone.” Because of the Resurrection, we are identifiable, alive individuals. His Resurrection also shows us wedon’t have to be controlled by evil ways, habits or ad-dictions. Since He conquers death, He also conquers
sin. His living presence enables us to live better.
That is why all who are physically able gather to worship on Easter Sunday. If you travel this week-end, stop to worship somewhere. If you have guestsover, be in worship first. Better than electricity ever could, the Resurrection of Christ will change your lifeeternally.
The most effective person at inviting others tochurch is you; yes, you are more effective than the pas-tor or staff. I’m considered a hired spokesman; youare a satisfied customer. You are the best advertise-ment we have. Easter is a good time to invite someone. When we do the possible, God does the impossible.
I’ll see you Sunday,
A thank you card was received in the churchoffice from Margaret Copelin & Hazel Culpepper.
