FAMILY TIES
Written by world-renowned playwright Willy Russell, Blood Brothers is one of the most popular and
longest running British musicals of all time, having played on the West End for the last 24 years.
Gathering the Encore cast together for the first time last week, the work has begun to tell the tragic
story of Mrs Johnstone and her two sons Mickey and Edward, who are separated at birth and
concealed from each other only to be accidentally brought together again years later through an
unlikely friendship, and ultimately to a tragic conclusion.

THE LEGEND RETURNS
Victor Hugo’s much-loved blockbuster musical returns to the Princess Theatre in glorious new staging and
dazzlingly reimagined costumes and sets in March 2018 and following an extensive search to find Tasmania’s
brightest stars, Director Belinda J King is thrilled to reveal the talented cast for next year’s highly-anticipated return
of Les Misérables.
“I’m so thrilled to be able to bring the voices of Brett Budgeon and Dean Cocker together for the first time in this
production,” says Director, Belinda J King. “With Brett’s soaring tenor and Dean’s dark, thrilling baritone notes I
know that arguably the most breathtaking score in musical theatre history is in great hands.”
Rounding out the principal cast are Michaela Young (Fantine) Matthew Garwood (Marius), Breanna Stuart
(Eponine), Bella Harper (Cosette), Jarrad Enniss (Enjolras), Ross Marsden (Thenardier) and Samantha Hammersley
(Mme Thenardier), along with a 40-strong ensemble of the cream of local vocal talent.

Picture this… It’s a dismal day at the Addams family’s mansion, with the ever-approaching storm clouds
reflecting the gloomy atmosphere that keeps the household happy. Daughter Wednesday, now eighteen years
old, has found herself experiencing a surprising new sensation, one that frightens both her and her family: she has
fallen in love. What follows is devilishly delightful fun in this original musical about love, family, honesty and
growing up.
Come meet the family. We’ll leave the lights off for you. Directed by Danny Gibson & presented by Stage Right
Youth Theatre is it definitely going to be a creepy & kooky night at the theatre!
