Thank you for using the EMS Fellowship Guide. It is our hope that this guide will help to objectively inform your search for a best-fit fellowship. All information in this guide was provided by the leadership of the respective fellowships and accuracy should be verified with that leadership. While we did our very best to contact all programs, we did not receive information from all programs for this year’s guide. We will continue to revise, expand, and improve upon this guide in the future. Feedback is always welcome.

- Council of EMS Fellowship Directors

Best of luck in your fellowship search!

This guide and the list of fellowships is a supplement to the official NAEMSP maintained EMS Fellowship list found on the website.

Program DescriptionThe field of EMS is extremely large and diverse. We recognize that each fellow has specific interests and that mastery of the knowledge and skill base requires life-long learning and commitment. We aim to provide our fellows a framework for career development while ensuring that we cover the core content required to pass subspecialty certification. EMS is inherently based in the pre-hospital environment, so most of the fellowship will be spent in the community working alongside our EMS providers

PARTING WORDS

As the Medic One system in Seattle and King County is supported by a levy, no bills are sent for ALS care. This tight integration between the community and EMS provides tremendous advantages. Airlift Northwest also covers an astonishingly huge area. In the role of flight physician, you will retrieve patients from the smallest clinics in Alaska, single coverage EDs throughout the northwest, scene calls from mountain tops to ocean accidents and transfers from ICUs at facilities near and far.
