Emma's Spring Yoga Newsletter 2018

Emma in Goddess variation, ‘Spring Awakening’ Retreat, Cober Hill, March 2018

Spring has finally Sprung-Yippee! It has been a long cold Winter so

it is wonderful to see all the new growth and to experience the rising

of the sun which gives us new energy for all of our plans and

projects.

We had a lovely time at Cober Hill for the Spring Awakening retreat

and it was extra special this year to have my mum there. She

enjoyed meeting all my wonderful students and a good time was had

by all

This year, we practiced in the Joseph Rowntree Centre with its

lovely spacious hall and warm, spotless accommodation. It was lovely

to hear so much laughter and seeing all the new friendships

blossoming during the retreat.

I have lots of Yoga events planned for March, April and May so here

is all the news…

Review

Dr Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Yoga Nidra Immersion, Newcastle, January

2018

It was wonderful to see Uma again; I arrived holding my much used

copy of her extraordinary book, ‘Yoni Shakti: A Woman’s Guide to

Power and Freedom through Yoga and Tantra.

Battered and wind-swept!

This book has become like a Bible to me and has survived retreats in

both Crete and India. I showed her my copy and she was so touched

by it and said that my copy was a first edition which I could get

replaced free of charge because of the faulty binding those first

editions had. I am fond of my battered copy though so will be

keeping hold of it.

Dr Uma and Emma, Newcastle, January 2018

The weekend was a series of Yoga Nidras which I found hugely

restful and rejuvenating. A lot of ideas and creativity came out of

this weekend for me including poetry and the script for my first

Yoga Nidra, ‘On the Path of the Watery Moon’. Yoga Nidra is now a

daily part of my self-care and I am really enjoying facilitating Yoga

Nidra classes.

New Retreat! ‘Autumn Escape’ Yoga Retreat

Delicious Award-winning Food and Luxurious Accommodation, Country

Walks, A Variety of Yoga Classes

I am delighted to be launching a new domestic retreat quite close to

home for the Autumn.

This is a place I have stayed at regularly with my mum and Zuzana

and if it is good enough for my mum…

It has had an impressive refurbishment to a very high standard, the

food is lovely and locally sourced, there are comfortable, spacious

rooms including a coffee house and tea room, a bar and restaurant, a

large space for Yoga and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is

situated in the Market Square so is perfectly located for exploring

the cobbled market town and further afield.

Bookings are coming in thick and fast for this retreat so if you are

interested in booking do let me know.

There are new retreats planned for 2019- see the dates below.

Claire from The Tree (formerly The Orange Tree) gave me a ring to

see if I would like to teach there in 2019 and I said ’Yes’

immediately!

It is a wonderful place set in the heart of the countryside. The Yoga

space is a thoughtfully converted Wesleyan chapel positioned over a

valley. It is so peaceful and the food is vegetarian and home-cooked.

Look out for more details and a brochure later in the year…

Zuzana in Astavakrasana, Fuerteventura November 2016

As you know, my wonderful partner Zuzana designs all of my

brochures but does have her own demanding career as Dr Z Optical

Physics Scientist so please be patient! – We will release the

brochures for 2019 in due course … I am so lucky that you all wish

to join us on these retreats so will be doing my best to plan

wonderful themes for you.
