Silencers

The both new silencer-systems of Nießing

In a Daimler AG painting plant, the polluted mineral wool silencers are to be replaced with modern plate silencers. The conventional silencers are clotted with residual paint and are ineffective. 60 % of the cross section will be blocked by the built-in components.

Modern silencer systems for modern vehicles.The individual plate silencer modules are prepared for assembly.

The modules will be installed using a crane to position them over the mouth of the chimney. All modules will be gradually mounted via rails and with zero stress.

To achieve the stipulated silencer length of 17.5 m, individual modules of 2.5 m each will be bolted together.

An accordingly calculated steel construction at the mouth serves as a suspension for the entire silencer. The silencer can thus expand with the temperature.

By means of the nesting construction, a total of 28 individual channels with a quadratic dimension of 1.2 m * 1.2 m emerge.
