It is my personal goal to educate my clients on the importance of printing their images at good quality print labs. How many of us have hundreds of pictures on our computer, and no physical prints to show for it? I don’t know about you, but I want my children and grandchildren to look back at actual pictures in 20,30, 40+ years. PLEASE make sure you are not spending your hardearned monearned money on a professional photo session and buying printsat Walmart’s One hour photo lab. One hour print labs do not have the quality control that large professional printing comapies do. Use your $75 print order requirement to order professionalquality images of your session, at a very competitive price!

a little about me..

Photography is truly my passion. I love being able to share my talent with other people! While some of the talent has been self taught, I have also trainedin person with large, successful photographers who have mastered the art at a level that I dream of. Attending these workshops and classes taught me hhow to SAFELY handle your newborn, how to achievedesired looks and poses, and efficiently run a successful business. I have been a photographer since2010. and sinse then, have photographed hundreds and hundreds of babies. During that time, I worked for two years with Bella Baby Photography in Louisville hospitals where I learned very detailed instructions on ninstructions on newborn safety, sanitation, and overal lwell being of a baby during their photo session.

After each session, I use my “eye” to pick the best images to deliver to you. Each image is individually hand edited to create sharp, vibrant, and beautiful final copies. Included in this may beskin smoothing, rash removal, redness reduction, jaundes removal, spot treatment, etc. After the process of editing is complete, your gallery is uploaded for viewing and sharing with family and friends! I strive to make every client 110% happy with their overall session experience. Questionsare always answered in a timely manor, and I take my customer service very seriously!

i babiesAs a newborn photographer, I strive to capture those first few weeks and turn the resulting images into a work of fine art to be treasured forever. Newborn photography requires a large amount of planning and an insane amount of patience, and you’ll be happy to know I am good at both! I have a little one of my own who tests it daily! :)

preparing for your sessionOnce you decide to schedule a session with me, we will set a tentative date based on your due date. I understand that babies rarely come when predicted and I will accommodate their personal plans for arrival. But a due date will give us a base line. Once your infant is born, please get in touch with me and please get in touch with me and we will firm up our date and time within the next week!

“ Babies are best photographed in the first 10 days of their new little lives. ”

Why is it important to photograph in the first 10 days?In my experience, babies tend to start being more alert during their second week of life. While I love those wide eyed shots, most of the newborn poses require a very sleepy, settled baby.

what toexpect

Before your sessionPlease make sure to feed the baby right before you leave for your session. If you are traveling more than 30 minutes, please let me know and I will set aside some time for you to feed the baby when you arrive. Dress baby in a zip up sleeper or something that does not need to that does not need to go over their head.

One of THE most important things that I ask parents to do is keep the baby awake 1-2 hours before the session. (I know. I know.) I promise that it will be worth it after you see how sound they sleep during their session! Give them a bath, let them kick in a didiaper, etc. It will burn some energy and help them be ready for their close up!

I have a studio filled with props, blankets, hats, bows, headbands, wraps, and muchmuch more then I care to admit! If you showedup to your session with nothing, we would be just fine! My style is very natural. I love soft colors and the bare bottom shots. Less is more!

If If you have a special something that you envisioned in the picture, like a handmade blanket or hat made by great grandma, pleasefeel free to bring it!

Please make sure you are prepared to feed the baby during the session if we need to take abreak! Also, if you have a pacifier, please make susure to bring it along. If you are not using one, don’t worry about having one for your session!

What about

BIG brother

and big sister?

Do I have to be in the photos?

I love incorporating big brother and big sister in the photo session! I always start out with these shots. They will be the first pictures taken at the photo session. I do this so that theycan be done quickly. Afterwards, they can go to the office to play,

go for a lunch trip with dad, or to the park with grandma. If you would prefer that they staywhile we finish the baby’s portion, they are more than welcome! If you would be more relaxed if someone came with you to take them for a field trip or back home, that is up to you! I have some toys in my office that they are welcome to in the other room! I just ask that we keep the studio nice and quiet for the baby! Please dress the siblings in simple outfits. No bright neon colors, busy prints, or wording on the shithe shirts. Please keep hairbows small and hair pulled back out of the face. For boys, I often reccomend bare chest and blue jeans. It is an adorable look!

If it were up to me, YES! At the time of my delivery with my son, I was in pain, swollen, and exhausted. The very last thing I wanted to do was be in a picture. To this day, I regret that decison. Until I invent a time machine to go back and re-do my decision, I will have to be sadabout not having that memory. Think about the future. You may not feel up to it now, but I promise if you don’t do it, you will regret it! Have a guilted you into it yet? Oh good! WWell, in that case, make sure you wear light colors, no busy patterns, and something that you feel comfortable in! Make dad wear a nice fitting shirt with no big logos or wording on it as well. Make sure you dress in layers. The studio is kept nice and toasty for a nakie baby!
