CITY OF HOOPESTON Rebuild Illinois Public Infrastructure Grant Applica-

tion for Heritage Park Development Project HOOPESTON, IL

On 26 June 2020, City of Hoopeston intends to apply to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant from the Rebuild Illinois pro-gram. This program is funded by state funds as included in the 2019 Capital Bill. These funds will be used for the public infrastructure component of the Heritage Park Development Project proposed to be located on approxi-mately 5.5 acres of land located ¼ mile east of the inter-section of IL Route 1 and IL Route 9 in Hoopeston, IL.

The objective of the Rebuild Illinois Public Infrastructure (RIPI) grant is to provide funding for public infrastruc-ture improvements that can offer an enhanced foundation for economic growth in Illinois communities. A public hearing must be held prior to passage of a local council’s commitment of funds for the application as per the re-quirements of Rebuild Illinois Program.

Information related to this project will be available for review prior to the public hearing. A physical copy of the grant application can be found at the City Hall located at 301 W. Main Street, Hoopeston, as well as an electronic copy on the city’s website (https://cityofhoopeston.com/) from June 18, 2020 to June 26, 2020.

Interested residents are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Written comments should be submitted to Mayor Bill Crusinberry no later than 2:30 pm, 26th June in order to ensure placement of such com-

ments in the official record of the public hearing pro-ceedings. This project will result in no displacement of any persons. Details of the public meeting are provided below:
