1. Connect to the MCU

In the main screen select the Radio Tools folder. Select the icon Winpower 4.2, this is the software to use for the ELTEK RACK. There are other software versions in circulation. Use Winpower 4.2 first, if not download the version being used on site by using the CD that is located on the shelf of the Eltek Rack.

Select the yellow lightning bolt to connect to the MCU. This screen shot is of the connection to Winpower 4.2 SW

Select the COM 1 option then select the Connect button.

This is the main screen of the MCU. As seen in the Access level, the current setting is set to USER. The USER setting will only allow to view the current configuration of the MCU. 2. Log into the MCU

Select the File menu. Then select Login from options given in the ‘File’ menu. Enter the password ‘service’ in the Security tab and press OK. Eltek Flatpack 1 How to Guide 31012013 7

The Access level is now SERVICE. This means you can make any changes to the current configuration.

5. Configuring the Date & Time

Click on the ‘Set Time’ tab in the General Configuration menu. This slide is of version Winpower 4.2 Eltek Flatpack 1 How to Guide 31012013 11

6. Active Alarm

In the Alarm Status box you can see any active alarms. Also the current alarms are displayed in the Event Log.

7. Configuring Alarms

Click on ‘Alarm Setup/Display’ tab and select the correct relay for the alarm type then OK tabs. This slide is of version Winpower 4.2

8. Current Event Log

The EVENT LOG is displayed on the main screen of the MCU. Also there is a icon to select which displays the Event Log as well. The LATEST xx EVENTS tab, click on this tab which then displays all the recent events, alarms.

9. Current Alarm Log

The Alarm LOG icon is displayed on the main screen of the MCU. Select this icon and the Alarm Log opens. You can either select the number of log item, Get all the alarms in the log, Erase the Log or Export the Log to a file.

10. Rectifier Configuration

Click on Site Info. The number of rectifiers in the Eltek rack is configured in the Rectifiers Installed box.

11. Battery String Configuration

Click on the BATTERY CONFIGURATION, this will then display the Battery Setup, Battery Test Setup, Auto Boost, Manual Boost, Current Limit Config, Output Control, Symmetry Measurement Config. The number of battery strings in the Eltek rack is configured in the Battery Setup tab. The battery name is the type of battery which are installed in the Eltek rack. The 4 indicates the number of working strings in the Eltek rack.

12. Battery String Temperature Configuration

Select the General Configuration icon then select the Set Levels tap. The High Temp Alarm level 1 is set to 45*C. The High Temp Alarm level 2 is set to 50*C and the Low Temp Alarm is set to 10*C. Then select OK button. Eltek Flatpack 1 How to Guide 31012013 18
