ELOA – UNIQUE LIGHTS

Light objects float weightlessly in space. Fragile, iridescent, timeless. Solitary, or in constellation, ELOA lamps create individual light concepts that remind us of star constella-tions. Hence the objects‘ names.

ELOA combines  the craft of ancient glassblowing with a simple, yet distinct design. To achieve the large size of the glass objects while working without forms requires a high level of refined craftsmanship and skill, which can only be performed by a few master glassblowers in Bohemia.These objects exist as hanging, floor, standing, and wall luminaries as well as bowls and vases.

ELOA was founded in 2015 by the Swiss designer Simone Lüling,  who  is  based  in  Berlin.  Simone  Lüling  designs and coordinates the objects with the vision of combining simplicity and high-quality artisanship.

HAUMEA

Haumea is an elliptical asteroid with a crystalline surface. ELOAs  HAUMEA  is  topped  with  the  clear  brilliance  of crystal.  This  brilliance  then  blends  down  softly  into gradients  of  milky  color,  which  can  seem  wonderfully polar  or  soothingly  warm  depending  on  its  orientation within your gaze. Its shape is quiet, balanced, peaceful, and harmonious, helping it to become one with the room while grounding the space. The integrity of the blown glass gives it  the  flexibility  of  looking  beautiful  anywhere,  whether used as a table piece or as a ceiling lamp.

DWARF PLANET

DWARF PLANET lamps emit a soft light  into your space, their appealingly rounded  forms reflecting  the  individu-alistic irregularities of the celestial bodies for which they are named. These handmade lamps are available in many colors and are flexible enough to be used in many different ways to suit your particular lighting needs. They can invoke the  presence  of  the  universe,  whether  positioned  high in the room or near the floor, and will add a sumptuous atmosphere to your surroundings.

DSCHUBBA

As  the  middle  of  the  Scorpion-constellation‘s  forehead, DSCHUBBA radiates from its glowing center of life and light. DSCHUBBA  is  the  glass-born  materialization  of  drifting soap bubbles or of shimmering air bubbles dancing in the sea; and may even call to mind the idea of speech balloons hanging in space, filled with wonderful words. They give us a soothing atmosphere to float and dream in, helping us to feel lighter and calmer as they harmonize the room. DSCHUBBA  is  a  fascinating  and  poetic  light  sculpture, whether as pure crystal or in any of the iridescent colors in which it is available.

IZAR

As one of  the brightest double stars  in  its constellation, IZAR  encapsulates  the  vibrant  yet  tranquil  movement of the world around us. With its cloud-like shape and its saturated coloring, this hand-blown piece can be placed on a table, shelf, or floor for a unique and irreplaceable accent. When IZAR is illuminated, its depths of detail shine through the bubbles and shades of coolness or warmth that swirl around its curves. With a unique and subtle friskiness, this double-star-inspired lamp emits  the  invigorating feel of the sea or the serene calm of a morning sky, bringing the sensuality of the blue and gold roots of all colors into your space.

SIRIUS

SIRIUS is the most visible star in the sky. SIRIUS combines the liveliness of light with the beauty of organically rounded horizontal shapes – bringing a majestic feeling of levitation into your space. It sparkles, suspended from the ceiling, with its pleasingly irregular form creating an impression of quiet movement throughout the room. Its iridescent amber hues contain all the colors of the light spectrum – giving out a warm glow and surrounding you with a cozy cocoon of calm.

PLANETOIDS

PLANETOIDS  are  small  asymmetrical  objects  that  float delicately  in  space.  Combine  their  various  forms  and colors  to  custom-design  the  celestial  ambience  of  your room. PLANETOIDS are available as individuals or in trios, quartets, quintets, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, for creating infinite variations of your own, personal constellations.

STATI X

Inspired  by  the  stars  in  design  and  name,  the  STATI  X combines  function  with  a  uniquely  eccentric  style.  With its handmade wooden tripod base, featuring finely crafted metal  fixings,  it  carries  us  off  in  much  the  way  that  a telescope would - showing us a sky of endless possibilities. Off to the side or as a centerpiece, its presence is subtle but always regal. With this hand-blown lamp, you can easily adjust its brightness of mood to your preference.STATI  X  comes  in  two  wonderful  color  variations.  The Amber Iridescent version, with  its exclusive hand-blown bulb, brings  the glow of a sunset  into  the realm of your personal living space. In Silver Smoke, this lamp surrounds you with the quietly elegant serenity of moonlight. These heavenly beings have a presence all their own; stabilizing and illuminating.

SUPERNOVA  is  a  rare  and  magical  visual  phenomenon that  manifests  itself  as  a  quick  brightness.  Exploding stars are the cause of this beauty in nature – and at ELOA. SUPERNOVA was developed after a lucky accident led to the falling of a glass globe. Once the cracks were cut off, new  opportunities  and  functionalities  were  discovered. SUPERNOVA is a collection of vases and bowls that, though they don‘t shine themselves, none the less add sparkle to the environment around them.

MAKEMAKE

MAKEMAKE is reminiscent of Jupiter‘s ring. It was designed with  the double  functionality of being a vase and a  fruit bowl. In use, the majestic and artistic form is enhanced by the inserted flowers or fruit. The crater-like indentations give the blown glass a presence that dazzles the eye.
