Johann Sebastian Bach was a Germanchurch musician who composed (wrote)all kinds of pieces for church services, keyboard instruments, orchestras, andmore. Bach had 20 children! Four of hischildren grew up to become famouscomposers themselves.

For almost 200 years, the Bach family wasimportant to the music world, since thefamily had over 50 musicians and severalcomposers. There were so many greatmusicians in the Bach family that ALLmusicians in central Germany were called"Bachs," even if they weren't related!
