4.8 Self-diagnosis

The appliance is supplied with a system of self-diagnosis that allows “bad”faults (Fault) and “non bad” faults (Warning) to be pointed out.

In the case when a mal-function is pointed out, the display shows a messagetype

(X and Y are numbers)

In the presence of any Fault, the oven is out of use and any attempt to startcooking is aborted.

In the case of a Warning, the display will show a message type

(X and Y are numbers)

That a malfunction has been revealed that anyways allows the use of the ovenin the major parts of its functions.

FXY

Note Note unfortunately not all types of faults can be removed (for examplenon-functioning resistances).

4.9 Repairing a Fault

FAULT DESCRIPTION WHAT TO DOF01* Temperature sensor in short circuit. 1. Substitute the temperature probe if its

electrical resistance when empty is nextat 0Ω.

2. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists) re-using the previouslysubstituted probe.

After every operation execute procedure “A” to verify the positive outcome.

F02* Temperature sensor disconnected or open circuit.

1. Check that the temperature probe iscorrectly connected to the terminals J9and J10.

2. Substitute the temperature probe if itselectrical resistance when empty ex-ceeds 2 kW.

3. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists) re-using the previouslysubstituted probe.

After every operation execute procedure “A” to verify the positive outcome.

F03* Probe of surrounding temperature card of power in short circuit.

1. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists).

F04* Probe of surrounding temperature card of power in open circuit.

1. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists).

F05* Surrounding temperature too high (>75°C).

1. Verify that the cooling fan is well con-nected.

2. Try any cooking function and verifythat, after a few moments of waiting, the cooling fan comes on at the speed**indicated in the reported tables in theparagraph “Cooking Functions”.

3. Verify that the oven’s probe is well fit-ted in the back and at the terminals J9and J10 present on the power card.

4. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists).

F06* Centre oven temperature too high dur-ing cooking (>325°C).

1. Verify that the temperature probe iscorrectly fitted to the posterior part ofthe oven’s cavity and at the terminals J9and J10 present on the power card.

2. Check that the oven’s cabling conformswith the electrical scheme.

3. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists)

After every operation execute procedure “A” to verify the positive outcome.

F07* Centre oven temperature too high dur-ing the Fast Clean (>525°C).

1. See F06.

F08 The door doesn’t block. 1. Verify that the oven’s door is wellcloset.

2. Check that the BP mechanism is con-nected as in the electric scheme.

3. Substitute the BP mechanism.4. Substitute the electronic card (first the

display one then the power one if thefault persists) re-using the previous BP.

F09 The door doesn’t block. 1. Verify that the T within the oven is infe-rior to 200°C after a Fast Clean (followprocedure “A”).

2. After having opened the door by break-ing the blockage fixed on the counterdoor, substitute the BP mechanism.

3. Substitute the electronic card (first thedisplay one then the power one if thefault persists) re-using the previous BP.

All the faults are encountered as soon as a cooking programme is started.

* With the oven OFF, the bypass fan is active at the maximum speed. Withthe oven ON, the display indicated “END – Fnn” and the buzzer emits anacoustic signal: both remain active until the oven is turned OFF.

** For a few seconds the initial speed of the bypass is, in every case, maxi-mum (230 V at the heads of the motor).

Procedure “A”

1. Turn the oven OFF (only the current time must remain on the display).

2. In rapid succession press the keys in the following sequence: 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 -1 - 2 - 4.

3. When the writing “TEST” papers, press the key 3.

4. a) If the probe and the acquisition circuit of the temperature functionscorrectly, on the display the temperature of the oven’s cavity will ap-pear.

b) If the probe in short circuit and/or acquisition circuit of the temperaturedoesn’t function correctly, on the display 0 will appear.

c) If the probe is in open circuit and/or badly connected and/or the acqui-sition circuit of the temperature doesn’t function correctly on the dis-play 583 will appear.

WARNING DESCRIPTION WHAT TO DOW01 Checksum added recipe error.
