It is always a pleasure to have a professional like you speak on ways we can seek a job. The follow‐up questions –and‐ answer period as well as your handouts were received. On the advice of our teacher, our accounting class has decided that one way we can follow up your presentation is to bring to class employment ads, and then write letters of application. Already the class has prepared twelve letters, which were sent to our teacher as the employer; thirteen more are all ready to be signed. I believe this is one of the most interesting projects I have ever been assigned. Members of the class have learned to critique the letters without feeling self‐conscious about their work. SUMMARY

The main idea of this paper is to inform you on why we shouldn’t change the company

name. First of all we would have to go through the trouble of finding out if the name is available

if not then we have to pick a new one. Changing the name could cost a lot of money and could

cause us to go into debt. I think that we should just keep the name that we already have due to

the long process. We could also lose customers that are very valuable.

INTRODUCTION

This report is talking about the issue of Panther changing its name. I am the Manager of

Panther and I think that we should keep the name that we have. The reason for us changing our

name is because our original founder has recently died and his son has taken over the company

and he thinks we should change the name to JCV’s which are the initials o f his name.

NAME CHANGE

Reasons: some reasons for company name change are same name as another company,

expansion, spectacular success, and revolution. You may also change names if your name is

close to another company’s name.

Consequences: Some of the consequences for name changing are: it could affect the

business card, business logo, location, owner, website, e-mail, and or the amount of employees.

Budget: The budget of the company could be affected because you may or may not have

to close the dealership car lot for a little while. This could result in fewer customers which could

mean less profit which would be a disadvantage of the name change. Also changing the company

name could cost a lot of money which also take a lot of the profit the company already has.

During the time it would take for the name change to take effect your profits could go down to a

very low number.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion of the name change it would one cost a lot of money two takes a lot of time

to be done. Third it would also affect the company by having to pay for new business cards, new

e-mail, new business logo, having to pay new employees. As a result this would cut our budget

and let’s not forget it will also make our customers become smaller than they already are because

no one will know who we are.

RECOMMINDATIONS

What I think that we should do is that we should keep the name that we have and not

change at all. The reason for this is because if we try to change names it would affect to bad and

also because I like the name we have and I think that we should not change. Lastly if we keep

our name it would keep the profit going strong. Also what I recommend is that we have a

meeting with all the employees of the company and we should discuss the problem that we are

having with the company to all the employees and after that we should have a vote on who thinks

that we should change the company name and who thinks that we should keep the name that we

already have so that we could be safe from any problems in the press or any debts with the

government. So still at the end of all of that it is all up to you to change the name. You will not

be able to say that you did not know what could happen if we changed names and you will not be

able to blame the problem on me.

Appendices

This could cost us a lot of money and if we can’t pay for all of it we could go in debt with

government. This could also result in a change of customers who visit our company we could

lose a lot of valuable customers. Also the most important thigh of all the company could be in a

lot of trouble if it doesn’t go trough the right process for name change and if we get into a lot of

trouble this could really jeopardize our company from actually being a company and we could be

closed down for good which would really hurt a lot of the employees. So these are some of the

things to look at if you want to change the company name like I said before I think that we

should just keep the name we have so that there will not be any problems with our company

going off the market and losing the business. But when it all comes down to it the decision is up

to the owner of this company so if you want to change the name it is up to you and you alone.
