  • Election Manifesto

    Background SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    Name : Abhinav Agarwal

Graduation : BTech. IIT Roorkee (Civil)

Work Experience : Business Analyst at ZS Associates (June 2013 May 2015)

    Past Achievements SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Joint Secretary of the Program Management Section: Led a team of 25 members to organise and manage various events of cultural society of IIT

IIT Roorkee. Designed and presented the official website for IPR Cell and extended

assistance in organising workshops, guest lectures, awareness sessions and IP Day to meet

    the objectives of the cell.

sponsorship amount as compared to that of last year.

  • Proposed Campus Initiatives SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Initiating an IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) club at IIM C: In an era of so much plagiarism and with so much research prevailing at the IIM C campus it

is really important to have an IPR club which would aim towards guiding students how to file

a patent for their intellectual property and what measures can be taken if they dont receive

proper recognition for their intellectual property.

Improving the current dining system: Allowing a student to choose which mess he mess he wants to eat in. With such a fast

moving world where students want to utilise every minute of their day productively, giving a

flexibility to choose a mess according to their convenience might be useful in saving some

    precious time.

Bringing in a facility of hand-rickshaw/e-rickshaw: Considering the time it takes to reach Academic block/Co-operative store from LVH, it would

be useful if students have an option of choosing to go rickshaw which could save them a lot

of time. This would also be useful for someone suffering from an injury from some time. The

rickshaws would be an additional paid service and pricing can be regulated by the student

    body.

Common Rooms/Discussion rooms: Proposal to build a common room which can be used for group student

activities/discussions and can be accessed by the students at any time of the day. Currently

the hostel rooms are good to accommodate only 2-3 people for such a discussion.
