Google Classroom

From now on we will be using Google Classroom as a means to access your Cyber High class!

I will no longer be linking assignments into Power School, it will only contain your marks.

You will need to use Google Classroom to access your course content, quizzes, and as a way to submit your assignments!

Google Classroom is linked with your Google Drive. Both of these sites will let you access your course material.

Free work day – Finish Day 1-3 activities

Day 1 – “First Day of School”

The story we will look at this week is about a child's first experience with school.

We'll look at this short story as a way to examine some of the concepts we've looked at already. We'll spend more time looking at characterization, conflict, point of view and we'll begin to look at theme and tone.

Please find the story in your Google Docs Shared file – “ELA 10-1 Cyber High”

Day 1 –”First Day of School”

Please read the story and do an active “Mark Up” on the story.

You can do this mark up through Google Drive and Google Docs. Google Docs will allow you to create comments and highlight parts of the text right on the computer!

Be sure to “Share” your mark up with me please!

Day 2 – Story Questions

Please locate the file “First Day in School Questions” from Google Drive.

You may answer these questions right on the document if you would like. Please make sure you “Share” the file with me so that I can see your progress.

Day 3 – Childhood Memory Assignment

Retrieve the “Childhood Memory Assignment” from Google Classroom.

Follow the instructions and start your work using a google document.

Please make sure you submit your assignment through Google Classroom and share it with me so I can help you through the writing process!
