EKG App Store Pulse Over the past week, noteworthy game updates across all social game genres included:
Clash Royale (Supercell) - Following the success of the Gold Pass in Clash ofClans, we knew it wouldn't be long before Clash Royale saw a similar offering.This week the game introduced "Pass Royale," a $4.99 season-based subscriptionthat increases a wide variety of in-game perks for users who decide to buy it.Toon Blast (Peak Games) - 50 new levels released with a television theme.Games of Thrones: Conquest (Warner Bros.) - Latest update teases a a militaryresearch event as well as one where dragons eat "whatever they want." Thisseems quite a bit more interesting than the last event teaser which asked users ifthey had "read all the books in the Citadel yet."Gardenscapes (Playrix) - Gardenscapes now seems to look a bit more likeHomescapes in terms of territory it covers, as this week the game launched itsfirst event "in the house." The extent to which Playrix feels comfortableconverging their two successful titles has been interesting to watch from a productdevelopment perspective.
New game updates from social casino titles included:
DoubleU Casino (DoubleU Games) - A Fourth of July update was introduced,including a new "Star Spangled Glory" slot.Wizard of Oz: Casino Slots (Zynga) - Added a new "Beautiful Bubble" slot thatincorporates story elements from Glinda's entrance to the Emerald City.my KONAMI (PlayStudios) - PlayStudios released two updates to myKONAMI this week, which together brought additional bonus features and newminigames to the title.Bingo Blitz (Playtika) - Bingo Blitz is the top-grossing social bingo title, and ithas lead that niche for years. One of the most difficult aspects of running a bingogame is keeping content fresh in spite of core bingo mechanics remainingostensibly the same in each bingo room. This month the game introduced"Blitzy's Road Trip," and we thought it would be a good opportunity to show howBingo Blitz continues to stay appealing to its large user base.
Blitzy's Roadtrip is the newest room at Bingo Blitz, and upon selecting it, usersenter a unique and segmented part of the game. The room is presented in the
menu UI rather than as a part of the game's primary progression map. Playtikaputs a lot of work into this type of content so users don't tire of bingo, and their
success at introducing complex new rooms has allowed the title to stay evergreen.
Following a video that introduces the twist on bingo that Blitzy's Roadtripincludes, users can spin a simple 3-reel slot machine while they wait for the next
bingo round to begin.
Bingo gameplay is effectively the same as it is in the rest of the game, with a twist- the musical note in the center square (seen above within the left card) fills up as
the player daubs additional squares. Filling it completely is tough, butaccomplishing it triggers a bonus game with mechanics that casino product
managers have grown very familiar with in the past few years.
Like so many social casino games before it, Bingo Blitz is using a bonus roundthat is heavily inspired by Aristocrat's Lightning Link - each square spins like an
individual reel, and whenever a spin results in a new square being filled, thenumber of remaining respins resets to 3. If the user's 3 spins run out, they collectthe items displayed. The musical note triggering mechanic is a great example of anon-core gameplay element becoming the focus for users, which allows Playtika
to keep Bingo Blitz fresh without having to reinvent the wheel.
Top Ten Chart Movement Small Giant Games' Empires & Puzzles leads the pack of top ten performers in terms ofupward ranking movement this week - the game jumped from 24th to 5th on GooglePlay. Supercell's Clash Royale was the 2nd-biggest gainer, as the introduction of its new"Pass Royale" helped boost it from 10th to 2nd on iOS. Of interest to the social casinoand casul genres alike is that Moon Active's Coin Master moved from 4th to the topspot on Google Play.

Google Play Gross Revenue Ranking Tracker On Google Play this week, the biggest upward mover was Seven Pirates' Ark of War:Galaxy Pirate Fleet, which is a sci-fi strategy game released in late 2018. The mostimpressive move in terms of revenue implications was certainly Small Giant Games'Empires & Puzzles jumping 19 spots to 5th overall.
