OBJECTIVES• PROMOTION and LOCAL IMPLEMENTATION of Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency know-how expertise gained in the EU to developing countries

•IMPROVE the architectural quality of RES and RUE applications on local public buildings (schools and health centres) and human settlements low cost housing, strengthening their commitment with community needs

•PROMOTE and SUPPORT dissemination and training activities

•CREATES a core of energy sector expertise

•PRODUCE Information materials and Design Guidelines; Exhibition of Best Practices

EXPECTED RESULTS A sharing of expertise and networking opportunities

Training events to incorporate solar architecture principles, energy efficiency concepts and RETs into building designs

Workshops and Itinerant Exhibition to support the concept of Solar Cities and foster the development of low cost bioclimatic solutions addressed to poor people

Several Publications to promote co-operation, exchange methodologies, information and data in order to develop the best educational practices in sustainability in architecture

Pool of committed Public Institutions and Administrators actively interested in large-scale application of Renewable Energy Systems (RES) and a more Rational Use of Energy (RUE) and CO2 reduction in their areas: Argentina (Tùcuman); Peru (Lima); Mexico (Sonora)

Interactive @Forum (through Web Portal) to constantly support discussion, networking and information exchange
