About EIAT

EIAT stands for Education and Industry Advancing Together, as it shares the vision of encouraging the collaboration be-tween academia, public and private sector and sends the message that only by recognizing each other strengths, we can ensure sustainable economic and social develop-ment. Since 2008 EIAT has become regionally recogniz-able brand that introduces global leaders in the tourism industry and address young and dynamic students from the region of the Western Balkans. Since 2009, EIAT has been supported by IMEX Frankfurt, the world’s largest trade fair in the domain of convention industry and MPI, the larg-est association in convention business, where globally re-nowned speakers and leaders of the MICE industry come highly recommended from IMEX. Since the beginning, EIAT has been recognized by the Government of Serbia, which has helped us deliver the excellence into this professional education event.

Six Years Advancing TogetherThis Year, EIAT had 2 Parallel Tracks:

EXECUTIVE TRACK

Professional education sessions wereTaylor made for Public sector decision makers, Private sector stakeholders, Hospitality representatives, Tourist organisations, Touroperators, Profes-sors and Teaching assistants.

GENERATION Y TRACK

Educational sessions, Taylor made for students, future leaders and best of the best from Generation Ys. Main focus was on leadreship, team work, tourism and hospitality management with professional advices from experts and industry leaders.

Mr. Anthony Hyde; Barbican Business Events: I thought that EIAT 2013 was truly a great conference. It was very well thought out and I had the opportunity to hear some interesting and Inspiring speakers, as well as make new contacts and meet some very highly regarded people. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming and I very much look forward to returning next year.

Students Challenge

This year, the students have exceeded all our ex-pectations, showing us how intelligent, creative and professional they are.

All the participants were separated in teams, and given the project assignment, to invent a new tourist product for the following century. The goal was to be creative, innovative and to work as a team! We created the simulation with an assign-ment for each team, to „sell the product“ within 7 minutes presentation to four top managers, who are potentially interested in funding the product.

The board of judges has chosen the winning team of young leaders with the best project solution „WORLD WIZARD!“ Congratulations to you all!
