JBLM NewsFreedom Fest Cowan and Memorial Stadiums, JBLM-Lewis Main, July 4, noon, with fireworks at 10 p.m. (dark). Classy Chassis car show (10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), carnival rides, entertainment, fair food, and kids activities.

Party-in-the-Park (ACS 50th Birthday Celebration) Freedom Park, JBLM-Lewis Main, July 31, 1–3 p.m. Join us for live music, food, an obstacle course, Splash Park, bounce house, face painting, Slip-n-Slide, and balloon twister.

Raindrops & Rainbows Play to Learn (Free) collabora-tive playgroups for family and children under 6 on Wednesdays. Two locations: McChord Field Escape Zone at 10-11:30 a.m. and Raindrops & Rainbows Lewis North at 1:30-3 p.m.

Special Needs Summer CampsCamp Prime Time 2015 EFMP session will be held July 10-12. The camp is located on US Forest Service land between White Pass and Naches, WA. Camp Prime Time provides two nights of ac-commodations, family style meals, and activities including boat rides, hiking, fishing, games, crafts, and relaxation.

Families were selected by a draw-ing and notified on June 10. Con-tact Nancy Dozier, EFMP Coor-dinator, at 253-967-9705, email at [email protected], or in-person at the AFCS EFMP office in Waller Hall, Room 400 for more information. Please notify the AFCS-EFMP office if your plans change so we can offer your accommodations to another family.

Special Needs Summer Camps

The 8th Annual Exceptional Fam-ily Member Program Camp JBLM, “Galaxy Warriors of American Lake”, is scheduled for August 21-23 at the Northwest Adventure Center and Shoreline Park on Lewis North.

There are two options available to families: an overnight cabin stay from Friday evening thru Sunday morning and a 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. “day camp” on Saturday. Families interested in cabin stays will have the opportunity to submit their

names for a drawing. Registration begins 15 July for day camp and overnight cabin stays. Names will be drawn on 5 August. For additional information contact Lynn at 253-967-3464 or Stacie at 966-5393.

The JBLM Tigers Aquatics (Swim) season had 25 youth enrolled with 17 competing at the Regionals on April 19th. Of those 17 at Regionals, 11 of them made it to the State competition on May 30. Of those 11 competi-tors, the Tigers came home with 9 Gold, 9 Silver, 3 Bronze and 7 ribbons.

The JBLM Tigers Athletics (Track & Field) season had 13 youth enrolled with 11 com-peting at the Regionals on April 25th. Of those 11 at Regionals, 7 of them made it to the State competition on May 30-31. Among those 7 competitors the Tigers came home with 3 Gold, 7 Silver, 3 Bronze and 6 rib-bons.

The season wrapped up on the June 7 with an end of season party. Trophies, medals and certificates were given out to each of the participants.

Support Groups for You & Yours

If your Family member has a health condi-tion that necessitates a specialist or spe-cialty clinic, he or she MUST be enrolled in EFMP under medical, DD Form 2792. If your child has an IEP (Individualized Education Program) or 504 plan, he or she must be enrolled in EFMP under educa-tion, DD Form 2792-1. Enrollment forms for EFMP are renewed every three years or sooner, if there are significant changes.

Disenrollment is not automatic upon expi-ration; it is required for a change in marital status or a significant improvement that no longer warrants enrollment.

Army — Submit your completed enroll-ment forms to the EFMP office located in the Madigan Nursing Tower, on the first floor, left side, just past the chapel, room 1-28-17. For questions regarding enroll-ment or overseas screenings, please call 253-968-0254/1370/4355. This office is closed on Thursdays.

Air Force — Submit your completed enrollment forms to the SNC office 62nd Medical Clinic, first floor of Airman’s Clinic Bioenvironmental hallway, second/third office on left. For a PCS screening or for questions call TSGT Michelle Sutton at 253-982-3350. Lois Fisher is the Special Needs Coordinator at 253-982-5568. Open Monday, Tuesday, Friday 0800-1530; Wednesday 0800-1100. Closed 2nd Tues-day 1200 – 1530; Closed on Thursday.
