oMajority of the nurses agreed they had more family time and extra days off on the positive effects.

oNegative effects: 53% voiced it is long hours and staff shortage.

o 8 hours leads up to 9-9½ hours.

o12 hours leads to 13-13½ hours when there is shortage of staff.

Recommendation

• More staff are needed• Proper rest room and bathrooms• Better meals to be served• Flexibility with the rosters• Staff on sick leave should be

replaced• Further studies should be

coordinated at a larger scale.
