This project received the Wisconsin State Bar’s Legal Services Provider Pro Bono Award in 2003. Centro Legal por los Derechos Humanos, Inc. (“Human Rights Legal Center”) President 1993-1995 Board of Directors 1993-1999 Oversaw growth and expanded funding of nonprofit providing bilingual legal services to the poor and “working poor” in Milwaukee and surrounding counties. Centro Legal provides free and low cost legal services in areas of family law, landlord tenant, criminal law and administrative law. Instituted Board governance policies and procedures. Worked closely with Executive Director on budgeting and personnel issues. Successfully obtained WisTAF funding.
