Editors’ Report Articles In the year to 30 June 2003, 293 new submissions were received by ECONOMICA of which 214 were rejected. During the year, of previous ongoing papers, 25 were accepted, and 23 were rejected for possible resubmission. The remainder are in the process of being reviewed. The following table summarises the changes from the previous 12-month period: The average time to rejection is now 3 months. A major factor underlying our fast turn-round time of papers is the electronic handling of submissions. Currently 95% of new submissions are received in an appropriate electronic format. To maintain and improve our turn-round standard, from 1 January 2004 Economica will only accept electronic submissions.
