Sure, the minutes' are in there, but I want to read an actual article, not the minutes.-There isan article in thepaper every time there is a town council meeting. They meet TWICE a month. It is usually on the front page...hidden from all. I bet that there was a lot of people who would have liked to help keep the Community Club going, but most of us didn't know anything about it until it was too late. I only saw a small article on it after every- thing was already decided.-I can only assume you mean the Chamber of Commerce. If this is the "club"you are referring to, you should have gotten a noticefrom them; all business- es that were members of the Chamber of Commerce should have received a letter: Being a business owner yourself, and a believer of supporting your community and doing your' business locally, I am sure you wereamember. You High Plains Sentinel, W~i~ can accuse me of many things, but a destroyer of scrap book pages...OHNO YOUDIDN'T! I have reprinted the picture with a name given by a differ- ent faculty member on page 20. We hope it is correct this time. Apologiesfrom us, to the beautiful young lady in the picture. Just to sum up, why don't we cover high school activities? Wedon't have a sports report- er workingfor the High Plains Sentinel. All high school activ- . ities were covered by journal- ism students in years past. This year there is no journal- ism class. Wewould lovesome coverage, but have nobody to cover those things. I would like to thank coaches, teacher and mothers for sending what they have into us for print- ing. Thank you for using your time tohelp solvetheproblem, rather than just complain about it. Weappreciate you!! I have a few questions for you: Why do you care who covers what stories? If a par- ent is kind enough to write up something that should be in the paper, why does that offend you? What do you have against Story Time? Do you reallythink thatAmy cancover high school sports effectively from 11 to 12 on Wednesdays, instead of Story Time? Contrary to popular belief the three women who work in this office' have com- mitments outside of our high paying jobs also. We have our own children, with their own activities they are involved in. We find ourselves unable to make your children's activities because of it. We do appreci- ate constructive criticism, but not petty knit picking. Thank you and have a love- ly week.
