GREEN CHANNEL SCHEMEIn order to avoid necessary delay in obtaining licenses, the government offered the green

channel scheme to the small scale enterprises. An entrepreneur can take any

problem with regard to clearance to the green channel counter for speedy solution. Instead these departments will give ex-post facto clearance in accordance with the rules

on intimation from the units .This type of clearance is known as Green Channel

Clearance.

SEED CAPITAL ASSISTANCE

Seed capital assistance means the promoters contribution or investment

towards the capital of a project .Many prospective entrepreneurs do not have

necessary capital to promote the project .Hence the seed capital

assistance scheme has been introduced by government to help such

entrepreneurs . New generation entrepreneurs in small

scale industries who require seed capital of more than rs 4 lakhs.

MARGIN MONEY SCHEMEThe Govt .of India through khadi and village industries commission (KVIC) has introduced margin money scheme in order to create large employment opportunities in rural areas of the country

Objectives*To assist deserving entrepreneurs in setting up small scale industrial units*To encourage establishment of village industries in the country by providing certain fixed amount as margin money

FEATURES• This scheme is applicable for units coming up in

rural areas only for establishing village industry projects.

• The banks must ensure that the projects is viable both technically and economically.

• This scheme is available for individual entrepreneur as well as co operative societies with the project ceiling limit at a maximum of rs 10 lakhs & 25 lakhs respectively.

• The project established by co operative society are eligible for maximum margin money of rs 4 lakhs .

• The margin money scheme is applicable for new village industry projects only.
