EDISON CHING MANOZO PADILLA - architect, cartoonist

Ed Padilla has come a long way -- from a struggling, yetdetermined architecture student at the University of Santo

Tomas (1997-2002), an occasional and sometimes incidentalcartoonist and a part time design builder, to now being a full

fledged architect with numerous other accomplishments thatan ordinary twenty something would have never even

imagined of achieving.

Architect Ed, as most of his co-workers and peers would callhim, passed the board exams in 2003 with flying colors. Being

the passionate go-getter that he is, Ed did not waste any timeand immediately established his own architectural design andconstruction firm -- the ECMP architect+builder located in SanJuan, Metro Manila where he was born and raised. Apart fromthis monumental achievement, Architect Ed has not forgottenhis first love --- drawing. Throughout the years, Ed has polishedhis skills in being a cartoonist, incessantly drawing characters

and comical scenes and situations for what will later onbecome his first ever comic book, MANG ED. After years of

compilation, hard work, struggles and tons of laughter,together with Mr. Christopher Ching, they published his first

comic book in 2001. Although the nature of his profession andbusiness is serious, he maintains a humorous disposition, often

finding the funny events in the realities of life.

Architect Ed is currently maintaining his full-staffed office,continuing to design and build quality establishments. He is

likewise gathering anecdotes, ideas and experiences to comeup with his future comic books.
