Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Peru

Dear Partners and Friends,

We are pleased to send you the latest edition of the

Economic Report of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in

Peru containing the figures of foreign trade between

Peru and Switzerland in the first half of 2013.

Switzerland has consolidated as third country of

destination for Peruvian exports. These have fallen by

36% compared to the same period in 2012. Meanwhile,

Peruvian imports from Switzerland presented a slight

increase of 2.47%.

The main Peruvian exports are minerals such as gold,

zinc and silver. However, there is an interesting amount

in products such as asparagus and mangoes.

Other products with significant exports in this period

were yarn of wool and tare seed mucilages. The main

imported products come from metal mechanical and

chemical sectors, wich together account for over 80% of

the total.

The development of various economic sectors is shown

in detail.
