Text Features

• Use the text feature of bold print to help you find the important words.

Plates

• Turn to page 5 in the text. Find the word plates.

• The crust is broken into huge pieces called plates.

Faults

• Turn to page 6. Find the word faults.

• The crust has many cracks in it. The cracks, or breaks, are called faults.
