Tá lúchair orainn bheith ag obair le Out to Lunch leis an ceolchoirm spleodrach céilteach seo a chuir I bhur láthair.

"Comprising three former members of Québec’s legendary La Bottine Souriante - Éric Beaudry, André Brunet and Pierre-Luc Dupuis - De Temps Antan channel that same boundless energy and euphoric joie de vivre into a big, buoyant, multilayered sound that thrillingly belies their number.

Featuring three-part vocals with fiddle, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki, mandolin and foot-per-cussion, their superb arrangements of classic songs and tunes blend deep traditional roots with cosmo-politan contemporary influences."

Each member of the trio has international reputations in their own fields. Their repertoire combines bub-bling dance tunes with haunting slow airs, Conema-ra Sean nós and Donegal port a’bhéil. Agus é mar bhuachphointe Sheachtian na Gaelige i mBéal Feirste, tá lúcháir ar An Droichead bheith ag eagrú an ceiliúradh speisialta seo den Ghaeilge, i gcomhpháirt le Misean Bhéal Feirste, i gceann de na suíomhanna is mó le rá i mBéal Feirste. Tá fáiltiú fíona, béile ceithre chúrsa agus ceol beo san áireamh leis an ticéad.

The highlight of this year’s Seachtain na Gaeilge programme, An Droichead are delighted to host this special celebration of the language in association with East Belfast Mission, in one of the city’s most prestigious venues. Wine reception, three course dinner and live entertainment are included in ticket price.

Chun tosaigh lé chéile…Having recently opened a new Irish language centre on the Newtonards Road, the East Belfast Mission’s ‘Turas’ project is the talk of the town. An Droichead have supported the de-velopment of the project from its earliest days. This event will celebrate the success of the two organi-zations and look forward to a bright future for both communities.
