At 2,722 feet,Burj Khalifa is world's tallest man-madestructure. Standing tall & gloriously,this structure has been inspired bypatterning systems integral to Islamicarchitecture. With its completion havingcoincided with the global financial crisis2007-2012, it witnessed an alarming slumpin its demand and prices, leading to abailout from UAE's President Khalifa binZayed Al Nahyan, after whom it waseventually named. In fact, it is only now thatits 900 apartments are getting occupied.

Given its stature, it's not surprising thatBurj Khalifa has been the base for a numberof unsanctioned adventure activities likeBase jumping and climbing to its top.Marking its grandeur is the 902 feet longfountain that shoots water 490 feet up inthe air to the accompaniment of 6,600 lightsand Arabic and World music.

At Burj Khalifa's 124th floor, is set world'ssecond highest outdoor observation deck,aptly named At the Top. Unfortunately, thedeck is now closed to tourists. The buildingis set within a blooming 27 acre park,inspired by Hymenocallis, a desert flower.

While corporate offices and residentialsuites fill up most of the floors, on the 122,123 & 124th floor you will come acrossa restaurant, At.mosphere, sky lobby andindoor & outdoor observation deck,respectively. You can book a hotel near tothis gigantic structure and admire itsmesmerising architecture. 

2 Dubai Dolphinarium

Dubai Dolphinarium is where you should take your children ifyou are traveling with kids. It is one of thebest dolphinariums that puts up heartyshows. The dolphins are playful andattractive. 3 Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum'sHouse

Located in the upscale Shindagha HeritageArea, Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum's House is a must visit place for you if you wantinteresting insights about Dubai's glorioushistory and culture. Built way back in 1896,the place acted as an abode for the rulingfamily of Dubai until the time of SheikhSaeed’s death in the year 1958. It  is an important historical building withintricate detailing in designs and traditionalarchitecture. 

It is the former residential quarters ofSaeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, formerruler of Dubai.

This historic place is now a museum whichshowcases Dubai during different eras of1940s and 50s. It is a n old structure and a marvellous exampleof historic architecture with the use oftypical Ottoman style architecturaltechniques.   You will find a beautiful collection ofpaintings related to pre-oil times. Then thereare other rooms which displaya collection of stamps, coins as wellas documents which date back to 1791. Youwill also find an interesting feature on pearldiving. 

4 Al-Jumeirah Mosque
