DUAL ENROLLMENTAllows high school students to earn college

credit OR vocational credit towards a post-secondary certificate or degree which will also count as credit toward a high school diploma.

Exclusively for Qualifying Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Submit Application: Apply to STC www.applytexas.org

2. Testing: Qualify With STAAR, THEA, ACCUPLACER

3. Sign Consent Form: Sign “S” Form for Each Dual Enrollment Course

What does my child need to do to qualify to take college courses while in high school?

1. Must meet THEA testing guidelines by Aug. 1, 2013.

2. You must submit your college application by May 30th on Applytexas.org

3. STC must receive official high school transcript by May 30th.

4. Student must sign STC documentation by August 10, 2013.

2200 ELA 3 on Essay

ACT Scores 23+ Composite – With at least a 19+ math and 19+

English

SAT Scores 1070+ math & critical reading scores – With at least a

500 math and 500 critical reading

Check with your student’s counselor if they may be exempt from taking the THEA exam
