The Detec Systems Top-of-Membrane Leak Locator Grid installed on top of a protected roof membrane detects and localizes leaks to within an area defined by the grid spacing. The grid is comprised of our patented moisture detection tape (MDT). By applying a measured voltage between the MDT and the roof deck, even the smallest amount of moisture passing through a membrane breach creates a detectable current leakage.

Once a leak has been localized to a grid quadrant, the grid provides a locating signal for our Electric Gradient Leak Locator to pinpoint all breaches within the leaking grid area.

The Leak Locator Grid provides an accurate and cost effective method to monitor and maintain a wide range of covered roof types and sizes.
