Start Dr.ZX with Operation Mode

Connect Dr.ZX to equipment.

Start Dr.ZX. Select “EPVC_Large”.

Tap “ESC” fir quit self-diagnostic. Message will show meanings of eachcode, and corrective action. Tap“Next” for view additional informationor other code.

If Dr.ZX still detect any error(s) , errorcode(s) will display. Tap “Details” forcheck error(s).

5. Operation Mode – Monitoring (1/5)

Select Monitor display.

Enter model code & serial no.

Select item. (Max. four items)

Start monitoring.

Write recorded data to data bank.

Start recording. If data bank isn’tempty, Dr.ZX will ask overwrite.

Enter comment if you want.

Select data bankthat store recorded data.

Operation mode menu.

NOTE If you did not enter model code & equipmentserial no., you can’t record monitoring data toPalm.

Tap “ ” of Monitor Display

(b) Enter model code & s/no.

Tap columns and enter model code &serial no. If you did not enter modelcode & serial no., you can’t recordmonitoring data.

TIP You can use keyboard to entermodel code & serial no. by tap“abc” or “123” on GRAFFITI area.

Selected item

Number of selected item(s).

Clear selected item(s).

Item changeover button

(c) Tap “OK”

After enter model & serial no., tap“OK”. If you don’t need to recordmonitoring data, no need to entermodel code & serial no. Just tap “OK”.

Tap “ ” of item you want monitor. Youcan monitor four items in once.

After selecting item(s), tap “Start” fordisplay monitoring data.

Item(s) will display. Screen will varyby selected items. Tap “Hold” forpause data. If you want quit, tap“ESC”.

(g) Start Recording

Tap “Record” for record monitoringdata. Dr.ZX will record data for three(3) seconds.

During recording, above screen willdisplay.

NOTE If you did not entermodel code & serial no.,“Record” button shallnot appear.

(k) Data bank is empty

If selected data bank is empty, abovescreen will display. Tap “Write” forstore recorded monitoring data.

(l) Confirmation

After data stored, confirmation screenwill display. Tap “ESC” to quit, or ifyou want enter comment, tap“Comment”.

6. Operation Mode – Special Function (WU Deactivation –1/2)

Select Special Function.

Select WU Deactivation

WU has deactivated.

WU Function. WU stands for Warming-Up. This function is, when start engine while hydraulic oil

temperature is less than elsius, computer will increase low idle rpm for warmhydraulic oil quickly.

(a) Select special function

Tap “ ” of Special Function.

(b) Select WU deactivation

Tap “ ” of WU Deactivation.. Tap “Execute for Deactivation. If youwant back to previous menu, tap“ESC”.

(d) Confirmation

After deactivation, above messagewill display. Tap ”ESC” for quit.

NOTE WU (Warming-up function) wilre-activate when key switch isturned “OFF”.

7. Operation Mode – Special Function (ECO Deactivation –1/2)

Select Special Function.

Select ECO Deactivation

ECO has deactivated.

ECO Function ECO stands for ECOnomy. This function is, when all levers are in neutral position,

computer will reduce eng 1600min-1 gradually. If any lever(s) are operated, enginerpm will back.

(a) Select special function

Tap “ ” of Special Function.

(b) Select ECO deactivation

Tap “ ” of ECO Deactivation.. Tap “Execute for Deactivation. If youwant back to previous menu, tap“ESC”.

(d) Confirmation

After deactivation, above messagewill display. Tap ”ESC” for quit.

NOTE ECO (Economy function) wilre-activate when key switch isturned “OFF”.

Turn key switch“OFF”.

Check engine learning switch is OFF.

Connect Dr.ZX to equipment.

Start engine. Switch on Palm. Start Dr.ZX. Confirm engine is running with low idle.

Start operationmode.

Operation mode menu.

Switch OFF Palm.

Remove both angle sensorsfrom pump.

Start “EPVC_Large”.

Confirm sensors are connecting to harness.

Tighten bolts & washers.

Adjust sensor shaft.

Wait more than five (5) seconds.

Adjust angle sensors.

Install angle sensors to pump.

Select “Special Function”.

Apply a film ofgrease.

With the punch mark on the angel sensor shaft, towards theopposites side of the harness, and adjust (turn) shaft thatsignal voltage is as following specification.

ZX450 & ZX500 Pump-1 angle sensor; 1.60V Pump-2 angle sensor; 3.40V

ZX600 & ZX800 Pump-1 angle sensor: 1.60V Pump-2 angle sensor; 1.60V

Apply a film of grease to the surface of fastenerspring, and install It into the cavity on the feedbackshaft.

Install sensors to main pump. Set signal voltage as following specifications,by adjusting the holes of A (angle) sensor.

ZX450 & ZX500 Pump-1 angle sensor; 1.60V +0.02/-0.02 Pump-2 angle sensor; 3.40V +0.02/-0.02

ZX600 & 800

Pump-1 angle sensor; 1.60V +0.02/-0.02 Pump-2 angle sensor; 1.60V +0.02/-0.02

Tighten bolts &washers.

Tighten bolts & washers to 9.8Nm (1.0kgf-m, 7.2 lbf-ft).

Connect Dr.ZX to equipment.

Turn key switch“ON”.

Switch on Palm. Start Dr.ZX. Select “EPVC_Large”.

Start service mode.

Wait more thanten(10) seconds.

Confirm currentDr.ZX mode.

Confirm model.
