No distance too far, no challenge too great: As a long distance Enduro the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure is in its element all over the world. The powerful two-cylinder opposed-twin engine with BMW ShiftCam, the large aluminium tank, the precisely targeted chassis and the effective wind, weather and engine protection ensure that the Adventure is equipped for every adventure, no matter how great. The modern opposed-twin engine with 1,254 cm³ and variable valve control BMW ShiftCam delivers 100 kW (136 hp) and develops a maximum torque of 143 Nm so that the long-distance Enduro can score with superior long-distance performance. The chassis with BMW Telelever at the front and the BMW Paralever single-sided swingarm at the rear ensure high riding stability and optimum handling characteristics. In addition to the standard equipment with LED headlights, Hill Start Control and modern connectivity functions, BMW Motorrad offers an enormous selection of optional equipment that can be used to adapt the machine even more specifically to worldwide applications, ranging from the Dynamic ESA electronic chassis and Pro riding modes with ABS Pro, DTC, HSC Pro and DBC. Together with the numerous ergonomic and accessory options, the Adventure stands for an enormous versatility that globetrotters all over the world appreciate. Detailed information for Pro riding modeRain and Road modes are available as standard. The optional equipment for Pro riding mode includes the two additional modes Dynamic and Enduro. A coding plug changes Dynamic mode to Dynamic Pro, and Enduro to Enduro Pro, allowing both modes to be customized. Pro riding mode also includes the ABS Pro gradient-optimised braking system, Enduro ABS for off-road riding, dynamic brake light, DTC Dynamic Traction Control for on-road use, Enduro-ASC traction control optimized for off-road. In addition, the hill start assistant HSC Pro activates the brake automatically when stopping on uphill gradients and the Dynamic Brake Assist (DBC) supports emergency braking.

Atacama luggage systemThe perfect choice for travel pros who like to make their way along unknown paths: the robust Atacama side bags can withstand a lot and sport many clever details and a storage volume of 35 litres and 25 litres. Under the outer skin made of abrasion-resistant ballistic nylon is a removable liner made of welded, waterproof PVC. A large drawer compartment, a document compartment with zip, attached exterior pockets with roll closure and access for a drinking tube on the left leave nothing to be desired. Reinforcements on the inside keep the softbags in shape. Particularly practical is the special quick-release fastener system in which the side bags are simply pushed onto the existing case holder with Atacama adapter plates from above and locked in place. Carry handles make transport to and from the bike easy. The Atacama luggage system also includes an optional luggage roll that can be easily and securely attached to the bike and adds another 40 litres of storage space.The installation manual is available for download from the BMW Motorrad website. NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATION.*

1 BMW Motorrad Navigator VIWith the multifunctional Navigator VI, route planning becomes child’s play. The system with 16 GB flash memory and a five-inch touch screen always shows the right way. Thanks to the circular polarisation filter (CPOL), the waterproof display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. The high-resolution screen in a casing similar to a smartphone provides all the essential information and ensures that you can see the big picture required in every situation. Numerous additional functions make planning and touring an exciting experience. Plan your routes can be created according to your personal preferences and enjoy driving on winding and quiet side roads. The "round trip" option is a good choice on unfamiliar terrain. In the end it will reliably lead back to the starting point. The Bluetooth connection to the BMW Motorrad communication system and the optional Smartphone Link app enable multimedia on the go: navigation announcements, telephone calls and music streaming as well as the retrieval of weather forecasts or traffic jam information are no problem. With the navigation preparation, further functions such as "My motorcycle" are available; alternatively, control via the multi-controller on the handlebars is possible. Choose the pre-installed map data, and you will always be up to date thanks to lifelong, free map updates.
