DOROTHY R. JOHNSON

Dorothy R. Johnson, age 89, of Monroe, Wisconsin, diedWednesday, May 25, 2011, at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

She was born June 27, 1921, at Monticello, Wisconsin, thedaughter of Edward and Hilda (Wittwer) Marty. Dorothygraduated from Monticello High School in 1938, attended MissionHouse College in Plymouth, WI, and graduated from WestSuburban School of Nursing in Oak Park, IL.

Dorothy married Gustave Johnson on May 2, 1953, at ZwingliChurch in Monticello, and was a Registered Nurse at the MonroeClinic Hospital until retiring. She was a member of St. John’sUnited Church of Christ in Monroe, Women of the Moose Chapter#599, and Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are her son, Paul (Carol) Johnson of Monticello, WI;daughter, Sally (Adley) Kanter of Secaucus, NJ; two grandchildren; and brothers, Edward “Bud” (Beth) Marty of Estes Park, CO, and Tom (Joanne) Marty of Marshfield, WI. She is predeceased by her parents; husband in 1962; and sister, Eleanor Stauffer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Yellowstone LutheranChurch, rural Argyle, WI, with Pastor Steve Owen officiating. Burial will follow in YellowstoneCemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm. (Noon) until time of service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Church.
