The overall objectives of the reform:
•Disengage the State in the electricity marketservice.•Reduce the financial burden on the sector fromthe state budget.•Improve the contribution of the electricity sectorin the economy and in the social development ofthe country.

Compliance Monitoring by theAdministration responsible for electricityor, under its control, by Camerooniancompanies approved for the purpose byhim, after consulting ARSEL.
Require before powering anew or renovatedinstallation, delivery of acertificate of compliance
If the electrical installation does not comply with current
standards is suspended from all electricity supply
Functions installers electricians and distributors of electrical energy are
incompatible with those of domestic electrical installations controllers

The importation of goods covered by the power sector and
categorization of treatment on their exit from the customs
subjection are closely linked:
On the nature of the good
Customs arrangements governing customs clearance mode

The status of the taxpayer that conducts import
At the origin of the goods

Consists of a part in checking the authenticity of thedocuments accompanying the goods under customssubjection, and compliance with formalities such as: the formalities connected with Inspection Program
before boarding and the import verificationprogram
Post boarding document verification
Check import compliance
purely documentaryverification
further controls said physical check carried out on the front line
Aims to ensure that: electrical equipment imported is not
prohibited to import; it is not a counterfeit materials; imported equipment has been said (no
import smuggling); the quantities reported are physically
present in the cargo. Occurs in two ways:
The selectivity of the customs declaration; The physical inspection of imported
equipment by the inspector auditor
