Abstract: [The presentation presents the background and purpose of the Digital Imaging Group and describes the various initiatives of the Group, and specifically, the Wireless Transmission Initiative recently announced. The Initiative is in its early definition phase; feedback is being sought on the plan and timeline contemplated for the initiative.]
Purpose: [To seek feedback from the Committee on the work plan of the DIG initiativ and to contribute useful information regarding the customer use models and needs as envisioned by the DIG member companies.]

We all acknowledge that the first adopters will be road warriors, business, and early adopters, and want our solutions to be adopted by them. But, there is a strong desire in the group to bring wireless to the mainstream home consumer.

Motion/video currently not area of focus, but changes in the industry to. serve video will drive wireless standards and infrastructure, so needs to be tracked as in important force in the industry.
